Doti- On the occasion of National Children Day, Shikhar Municipality, Shikhar Education and Youth Section , DOti has conducted Municipal secondary level Oratory programme on the topic of ” Impact of covid -19 on students reading – writing activities and ways to faciliate it during and post Covid-19 , where there were 12 participants from different secondary school taken part on this .
On this oratory programme Netra Prasad Bhatta stood first from Kedareswar Secondary school Doti .Likewise, Arunima Joshi from Sarada Secondary school positioned as second. Similarly, Chetana Naunyal from Ganesh Ma.Vi. Jainoli stood third and Sima Kumari Malla stood as consolation. It is said from Shikhar Education Section that all the position holder participants were awarded cash Rs. 4 thousands,3 thousands, 2 thousands and 1 thousands and certificate too.
Oratory programme was conducted in thein the presence of Sitaram Joshi-Mayor , Shikhar Municipality,Doti as a chief guest . It is celebrated with the slogan of ‘ Ensuring Child Rights in Disaster- The Commitment of all of Us’. There was presence of Deputy Mayor- Mrs Dhauli Devi Rawal,Amba Datta Joshi(EDCU- Doti), Hem Raj Joshi chairman of CDC, Doti, Hom Nath Joshi from Doti campus, Mukesh Bhatta from Unity F.M Dadeldhura, Sher Bahadur Kathayat coordinator of Shikhar Learn and Share Core Group, press personality and former shikhar Education Coordinator- Uddhav Bahadur Mall.
Chief guest Sitaram Joshi mayor of Shikhar municipality said that this oratory programme is conducted to link the chain of students reading – writing activities which is broken due to Covid-19. He added that municipal body is attempting to make the situation of teaching learning easier with the help of alternative ways.
Chairman of this programme Education section officer of Shikhar told that it is organized to bring out the innate capacity of different activities. He thanked all and expected the help from different sectors.
